You know you aren’t in Kansas any more when you see something like this.
That lizard is about 6 inches or so long, and the rest is tail (about a foot long). It moved like lightning up the tree. In a hyper-developed ecosystem like this island, each animal is fine tuned for survival, and clearly that long tail gave it an advantage over its cousins that didn’t have it.
We also saw a heron that was white and orange. The photo wasn’t sharp, so I’m not posting it.
