We walked about 4 miles in the 95 degree heat (and about 80% humidity) to the Water Mosque, aptly named for it’s appearance next to an inland waterway.
The interior prayer room was quite beautiful. It was different than the mosque in Penang which was circular. Non-Muslims were not allowed in the prayer room, but I took this photo from the entrance.
Inside, Kate made friends with a group of university women students who were studying GIS/Geography, Mathematics, and International Development. They were curious about Kate and came up and introduced themselves.
We secured a private driver over to the Chinese temple with many Buddhas including this reclining one.
Outside was the 40 foot tall goddess of compassion.
